Who we are
Vedic Kundli is a Vedic astrology website and optional installable web app. It is published by Sharad Khare (sharadkhare.in) in association with Nakshatra Innotech Pvt Ltd.
No accounts
You do not create a user account. There is no password, profile, or public chart URL. Recasting a kundli means sending the details again in a new request.
Birth and place details
When you generate a chart, panchang, matching, or calculator result, your browser sends the fields you entered (for example name, date and time of birth, place, coordinates, timezone, and optional partner details or a Prashna question) to the server that hosts Vedic Kundli so the calculation can run for that request.
We do not operate a member database of kundlis. Do not enter another person’s birth data unless you have a legitimate reason to read their chart. Treat printouts, screenshots, and PNG downloads as private.
Hosting logs (typical web-server access logs) may record IP address, browser type, referring page, and the time of a request. Those logs are used to keep the site running and to diagnose faults, not to build astrology profiles.
What stays on your device
- Language cookie (
dhiyoo_lang) — remembers English or Hindi after you use the language toggle. - Matching notes — optional text under compatibility results is stored only in this browser’s local storage. It is not sent to the server.
- Chart PNG — North/South chart download is created in the browser and saved as a file on your device.
- Calendar (.ics) — “Add to calendar” downloads a file you import locally into Google, Apple, or another calendar app.
- Installable app (PWA) — if you install Vedic Kundli, the browser may cache the visual shell (logo, CSS, JavaScript). Chart pages and APIs load from the network so kundli results are not kept as a stale offline copy.
Cookies and similar technology
The language preference cookie is essential to that feature. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad networks on Vedic Kundli pages. Embedded fonts may be requested from Google Fonts; that request is subject to Google’s own privacy terms.
Third parties
The site is served from the hosting environment you visit (for example a web host). Place autocomplete may call a geocoding or places helper used by Vedic Kundli to fill latitude, longitude, and timezone. Calendar apps and messaging apps you use after download are outside this policy.
Children
Vedic Kundli is a general astrology tool, not a service directed at children. Do not submit a minor’s birth data except as a parent or guardian for a private reading you control.
Your choices
You can refuse cookies in the browser (the language toggle may then reset). You can clear local storage and downloaded files yourself. Uninstall the PWA from the browser or device settings if you installed it.
